Overdrive

Can you say chipper?

This week, Again Faster is ripping through a gauntlet of pushing, pulling, sprinting, and swinging.

For time:

10 Dynaball Clean & Throw
200m Sprint
20 Pullups
200m Sprint
30 Sledge Swings (15 left, 15 right)
200m Sprint
20 Pullups
200m Sprint
10 Dynaball Clean & Throw

This workout will test your strength, speed, and power. It'll also give you new respect for the term "work capacity". If you're new to Again Faster and Crossfit, you'll do the workout at half-volume. Trust me.

As always, we meet at Jamaica Pond. We'll be at the pullup bars at 8:00 a.m., regardless of the weather. The bars are on the west side of the Pond, directly across from Prince Street. Come check us out!

I'll be there (no, really...I'll be there!)

It's two rounds of the posted exercises, right?

One round. Fast!

It's set up to promote a huge neuroendocrine response in a short amount of time.

I anticipate times between 10 and 12 minutes for our Heroes.

We'll have rings for some skill work beforehand.

The workouts appear simple; as though their inspiration and creation comes from a simple head.

There is so much praise here and no criticism; but I find that to be a typical American thing. If you blindly & willingly subscribe to one person's will, you run the risk of losing your identity. It is very Orwellian.

While you sit at your computer, blindly criticizing, we work.

There is praise here because our method of training is effective, and the people who come here understand that.

I suggest you either try the workouts, contribute positively, or get the hell out.

There is nothing Orwellian about what we do. You would understand this if you had any experience with our Community.

Coming to Again Faster, calling me simple (without any basis), and deciding that we are typically "American" (as if it's a four-letter word) is not a great way to display intelligence.

I would venture to say that you don't know a single one of the people who makes Again Faster and Crossfit what it is, and you probably won't bother to meet us in person.

Sit behind your keyboard and disparage away. I won't ban you (yet), because you may just be a decent person.

This is the last time I'm going to respond to your efforts, provided they continue down the same path of ignorant criticism. If you believe we're doing something fitness-related incorrectly, offer an alternative.

If you believe the workout is a simple product of a simple head, come try it out. You'll be a quivering puddle by the end--I guarantee it.

Mere Detet, consider this your one and only warning.

Frankly I have much better things to be doing than to be arguing with you online, however, you’re starting to piss me off. I resent being called a ‘blind follower.’ I do crossfit for one simple reason- it works. Not only is it the most effective fitness program I have ever tried, it’s a lot of fun, and I have met some amazing people doing it. If you know of a better way to stay in shape please enlighten me.
More importantly calling Jon an arrogant egomaniac and simple minded is almost laughable. He’s an amazing guy who has put hours of hard work and effort into Again Faster, and I know the people who have actually met him would agree.

So please do us all a favor and leave your negativity elsewhere.
Thanks,
Sam
